Meg Bandarra is a pastel painter who lives and works in Northampton Massachusetts. Her award winning work is known for its rich use of color and dramatic sense of light and shadow. In particular, her urban nightscapes, called "nocturnes" transform seemingly ordinary subjects into dramatic scenes that transcend their environment.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, from an early age Meg expressed the desire to be an artist. After graduating from the Hartford Art School, she began a successful career in graphic design and creative direction, which culminated in a position as the International Design Director of Licensed Merchandise for a beloved children's literary brand.

After leaving the graphic arts, but before discovering pastel, Meg explored a variety of artistic genres and much of that work has been featured in national and international publications.

Now dedicated to the pastel medium, her paintings are featured in galleries and shows throughout southern and central New England.
